British Airways will be increasing service from New York JFK
to London with daily flights to London's Gatwick starting on October 27, 2008.
The new flights mean that British Airways will fly 62 times each week from New
York JFK to London, as the Gatwick flights will be in addition to the existing
55 weekly flights to Heathrow. British Airways will operate eight daily flights
JFK-LHR, three daily flights EWR-LHR, and one daily flight JFK-LGW. Service from
London City Airport to New York begin in 2009.
In addition to the new New York-Gatwick service, British
Airways will introduce two new Southern European flights from Gatwick to Oporto
and Valencia and are adding a second daily flight from Gatwick to Alicante and
Turin.
Flights to Warsaw will move from Gatwick to Heathrow in
October. British Airways will also be suspending service from New York to
Manchester on October 26, 2008.
