JetBlue kicked off an airfare sale today. Travel is valid between August 25 and December 16, 2009. Even though the rules state no blackout dates we believe you will have a hard time getting one of these cheap airfares on select days during the Thanksgiving travel period.
For example, when we booked this flight on Bestfares.com for a departure on November 4 and returning November 11, 2009, we got the cheap $58 roundtrip airfare. When we booked this same flights for Wednesday, November 25 and returning Sunday, November 29, 2009, the busiest travel day of the year, we got a rate of $178 roundtrip, or three times as much money.
Now to be fair, when we booked Tuesday and returning Saturday November 28, 2009, we got a $78 roundtrip. Now that's a nice airfare. Just remember to be flexible and fly on the cheaper travel days.
Tickets for this sale must be purchased by August 5, 2009. The cheapest travel days are Tuesday and Wednesday; other days will be at least $20 more each way. Travel on Sunday will be much higher.
