If you have never tried our flexible travel date feature on the home page you
should. Also, you should always use our compare nearby airports tool for even
lower airfares.
For example, you live in Boston click Boston, Manchester, and Providence.
If
your heading to San Francisco also click on San Jose, and Oakland. You can only
check three outbound cities and three arrival point cities at one time.
You can not click on both flexible dates and compare nearby airports at the
same time. We suggest you try flexible travel first to find your cheapest days
to travel. Then click on compare nearby airports.
If you check flex travel dates first and then follow up with compare nearby
airports this could take up to two or three minutes of your time. But it will
really be worth it. If you find an airfare saving you up to $100 to $200 per
person and a family of four could save $400 to $800 then you did your job right
to travel on the Bestfares.
Here is how to use our quick fare finder. At the top of the page and to the
left you will see our quick fare finder. You will see these questions.
1. Roundtrip which is always the default setting.
a. One-Way Travel option
b. Multi-Destination which is for air travelers who may
want to fly into one city but return from another. For example, if you live in
Dallas you can book a trip to Tampa and return to Dallas from Orlando. Or if you
live in Dallas and you fly to Los Angeles, and want to drive up the coast to San
Francisco and fly back to Dallas from San Francisco you can with our multi-destination
option.
Under the from and to city points are two very important features.
1. Compare nearby airport. We do all the work for you just click on the
button and we will show you the nearby airports. Remember you can only compare
three departure cities and three arrival cities.
2. Exact dates only and flexible dates feature
a. exact dates feature this is if you can't be flexible
and you must depart and return on the exact dates you chose.
b. flexible dates this feature shows you the cheapest
airfares for 3 days before, 3 days after, and also the exact departure date you
chose. For the return it will show you the 7 days around your chosen return
date. This little tool can save you big money.
If you want first class or business class just leave all the information
blank and click on the find the Bestfares button. This will allow you to fill in
your city pairs, your dates, number of travelers, and at the bottom it asks you
for your travel preferences. This is where you will choose your class of service
and change it from economy to business or first.
You can also choose a specific airline, non-stop versus stopovers, and if you
want a nonrefundable or refundable ticket in the travel preferences section.
Once you have chosen your class of service click on the search flights button.
Now you really got the Bestfares for this holiday travel season!
